Goa Liberation Day celebrated at Margao

Goa Liberation Day 2022

Today, at Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex, Margao, PWD Minister Shri Nilesh Cabral hoisted the National Tricolour to commemorate the 62nd Goa Liberation Day. In his address, Shri Cabral paid homage to the freedom fighters and their sacrifices. He urged that the Government and the people must work together to ensure the success of the State.

It is a great honour for every citizen of India that the country is hosting the G20 summit this time. As citizens of the country, we all have a role to play in contributing to the progress of the nation. We should each take responsibility for our own actions and do what we feel is right. This way, we can work together to tackle the issue of garbage menace, said Shri Cabral.Nilesh Cabral

It is imperative that every individual come together to help take the state and nation to even greater heights. If we all work together to find solutions to problems, there is no doubt that this country will become the number one nation. This is a call to action for all citizens to unite in order to achieve this goal.

Upon his arrival, the District Magistrate and Collector, Smt Jyoti Kumari, IAS, and Shri Gurudas Gawde, who was holding the charge of Superintendent of Police Minister welcomed Shri Cabral. The Police Contingent then presented the Minister with a Guard of Honour.

A march past of contingents of Goa Police, Home Guards, Goa Human Resource Development Corporation, and students of various institutions then commenced. To commemorate the occasion, a variety of cultural programmes were conducted.
