Rajasthan Guv to inaugurate Lokotsav on Jan 30

The Governor of Rajasthan and Chairman, West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), Udaipur Shri Kalraj Mishra will inaugurate 10 days 22nd National level Folk Festival i.e. “Lokotsav-2023” on January 30, 2023 at 6.00 pm at Darya Sangam, Kala Academy Campal in the distinguished presence of the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant,  Minister  for Art and Culture Shri Govind Gaude, Chief Secretary Shri  Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS; Secretary Art and Culture Shri Menino D’Souza, IAS; Mayor, Corporation of the City of Panaji, Shri Rohit Joe Monserrate, Director, W.Z.C.C, Udaipur Ms. Kiran Soni Gupta, and Director Art and Culture Shri Sagun R. Velip

Lokotsav-2023 is being organized by the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Goa in joint collaboration with West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur, Kala Academy, Campal, Sport Authority of Goa and Corporation of the City of Panaji for 10 days from January 30, 2023 to February 8, 2023 at Darya Sangam, Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji-Goa.

This folk festival is being organized to provide a platform to the traditional craft persons and folk artists from different parts of the country and the State of Goa to display and sale their art and crafts. This festival is being organized  every year for the benefit of craft persons, performing artists and the public. About 800 craft persons and 600 performing artists from different parts of the country such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, Orissa, Karnataka etc. including Goa are invited to present the folklore of their respective States in Lokotsav 2023.
