Students should make their careers in the field of their interest asserted Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant who said that Goa has created a lot of opportunities for girls and boys in various sectors in the State.
Dr Sawant was speaking at a Prize Distribution Ceremony of an Art and Painting Competition on the theme of the Exam Warriors organised by the Directorate of Education in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha initiative at Ravindra Bhavan Sankhali today.
Further, Dr Sawant informed that the Prime Minister will be conducting his Pariksha Pe Charcha dialogue with students of Class IX to XII on January 27 this year and urged all the parents to watch along with students and teachers. This initiative will be sharing an interesting repository of Mantras and activities that will help to ease exam stress and will also help to celebrate the exam like a festival with enthusiasm, he added.
He also congratulated all the participants of the Art and Painting Competition.
Union Minister of State, Shri Shripad Naik also spoke on the occasion.
Daedric Shaun D’Souza from St. Thomas Higher Secondary School won the first Prize in Art and Painting Competition, Miss Saniya Muzawar from Madkaikar Higher Secondary School Corlim won the second Prize and Master Sai Bhagat from our Lady of Grace High school Bicholim won the third prize in Art and Painting Competition (Exam warriors) organised by the Directorate of Education. More than 342 students from various Schools, Higher Secondary schools from North Goa participated in the competition.
Present on the occasion were EDC Chairman Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Director of Education Shri Shailesh Zingde, Director of Information and Publicity Shri. Dipak Bandekar, Chairman of Goa Education Development Corporation Shri. Govind Parvatkar and other dignitaries.
