Goa Konkani Academy in collaboration with Cancona Konkani Kendra will be holding the 27th edition of Five days Konkani Drama Festival 2023 at Shree Shradhanand Vidyalaya, Poinguinim, Cancona Goa from February 21 to 26, 2023.
Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Ramesh Tawadkar will inaugurate the festival. Renowned Kirtankara Shri. Nishakant Nagesh Tegse along with other dignitaries will also grace the inaugural ceremony.
While addressing the media Vice President of Goa Konkani Academy Shri Vasant Sawant informed that the festival will witness a total of 5 different plays during this 5 days long festival.
On February 21, 2023, Shree Nagesh Mahalaxmi Prasadik Natya Samaj Nageshi will stage a play “Kutre’ directed by Shri. Sushant Nayak, written by Vijay Tendulkar and Translated by Shri Mukesh Thali.
On February 22, 2023, Bhangrale Goy Asmitay Madgaon Saustha will perform “itihasa.com” a drama written by Dr Purnanand Chari and directed by Shri Avinash Chari.
February 23, 2023, Ashvemed Media Production Shiroda will perform “Jaago Mohan Pyare” written by Shri. Sandeep Naik and directed by Shri Gopal Bhingi.
February 24, 2023, Yuva Ekvat Bhoma Production will present ”Liaran Jagche kay Marche” directed by Vaibhav Naik.
Similarly, on February 26, 2023, Abhay Theater Acadamy Goa will present “Selfiee” directed By Shri. Abhay Jog.
There will be a seminar from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm on the sixth day discussing these plays which will have the participation of various actors, directors, writers, and producers.
