In the morning match, the start was delayed due to heavy dew and curtailed to 18 overs a side. GSA won the toss and put Salgaocars in and the decision proved right as wickets fell in regular intervals and were
in trouble, they were 126 in 16 overs with Anish Mhaddolkar (2/21) being the pick of the bowlers. But Syed Baddi (41 in 13 and Sarfaraz 40 in 20 ran amok in the last 2 overs adding 40 runs and helping Salgaocars reach a respectable 167 for 6 in 18 overs. Earlier Suraj Dongre (24) and Sahil Makwana (31) steadied the innings. Hitesh Talwar (2), Narayan Gawas and Vinay Sawant (1 each) bowled well for GSA. GSA innings ended up in 88 in the 17th over with Hari Mhamal (26) waging a lone battle. Basu Madar 4 for 5 and Sarfaraz (3 for 10 ran through the innings.
Chowgule vs Vijay CC
Vijay CC Margao won the toss and elected to bat. Apart from Nisarg Nagvekar (50) and Omkar Bhandari (22) No one could tackle the bowling of Dheeraj Yadav (4 for 18) and were all out for 99 in 18 while Rajat Shet, Ashok Rathod and Prathamesh Naik supported Dheeraj with 2 wickets each. Shubham Gajinkar not out 32 and Rohit Naik not out 27 stitched an unbeaten 35 runs partnership for the 4th wicket and won in the 14th over scoring 104 for 3.
