Set in the village of Carona, Aiz Maka Falya Tuka (Me Today, You Tomorrow), belongs to the rare genre of supernatural mystery. After an archaeologist unearths a medieval idol, the village is plagued by disappearances and deaths, leaving its residents to run for cover. A few months later, the archaeologist reaches the abandoned village to uncover the source of the affliction that may be closer than he thinks.

According to the director’s note, the film was born in admiration for this world, a world that sticks to its own mores and is resistant to the outside, and the cast of actors and non-actors was taken through processes of embodiment and localization. The film is a portrait of a community made from within.
